Hire agreements Terms

Eligibility:

Equipment hire is available to businesses and individuals who meet our account and credit requirements.

Hire Period:

The hire period begins when equipment is delivered or collected and ends when you notify us that it is ready for collection or returned to our depot.

Extensions:

Hire periods are agreed in advance; extensions must be requested and confirmed before the original end date.

Responsibilities of the Hirer:

• You are responsible for the safe and proper use, care, and security of all hired equipment.
• Equipment must be operated only by competent, authorised persons.
• Any damage, loss, misuse, or theft during the hire period is the hirer’s responsibility.
• Equipment must be returned clean and in good working condition.

Damage, Loss & Repairs:

• All damages or faults must be reported immediately.
• Repair or replacement costs due to misuse, negligence, or improper operation will be charged to the hirer.
• Lost or stolen equipment is charged at full replacement value.
• Hirers are liable for any loss, theft, or damage to equipment while in their possession.

Delivery & Collection:

• Transport charges may apply.
• Failed delivery or collection attempts caused by site access issues may result in additional fees

Payment Terms:

• Payment is required in advance unless otherwise agreed.
• Late payments may incur additional charges.
• All prices are subject to VAT where applicable.

Termination of Hire:

CIDEC Hire Limited reserves the right to terminate the hire agreement immediately if equipment is misused, unsafe conditions are identified, or terms are breached.

Insurance:

Proof of adequate insurance may be required for certain equipment.
